Removing a Database Availability Group to go back to a single server instance in Exchange 2013 follows these steps:

  1. Remove the database copies from all but your single server.
  2. Run the following commands in Exchange Management shell:
    1. Remove-DatabaseAvailabilityGroupServer -Identity MAIL-DAG -MailboxServer SERVER1 -ConfigurationOnly
    2. Remove-DatabaseAvailabilityGroupServer -Identity MAIL-DAG -MailboxServer SERVER2 -ConfigurationOnly
  3. Lastly, use Failover Cluster Manager -> Destroy Cluster to remove the actual cluster
  4. Cleanup Extra Computer object that is disabled (the DAG object) in AD

copy over /etc/mysql/
edit mariadb.cnf
